An official national campaign was launched in Portugal to empower citizens as consumers. One objective was to simplify and harmonize the many legal requirements of such consumer information that must be visible in commercial establishments either selling goods or providing services.
FBA was commissioned to develop a visual system, including the creation of pictograms, with the aim of facilitating communication about consumer rights.
The Agency for Administrative Modernisation (AMA), created in 2007, is the Portuguese public office responsible for promoting and developing administrative modernisation in Portugal. Its activities are divided into three areas: customer service, digital transformation and simplification.
