Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa), the largest university in Portugal, commissioned FBA to create a visual identity for the new Imprensa da Universidade de Lisboa (Lisbon University Press).
The Lisbon University Press mission is to publish original books of proven scientific and cultural merit, in all fields of knowledge.
The solution drew upon two main ideas. It was created with a strong concern to visually relate to the already existing logo of ULisboa while evoking book related imagery. The logo formed by the stylised initials (IUL) of the Imprensa da Universidade de Lisboa, hint to different views of a book.
